Our approach

We build bags around the hours they'll actually see — the commute, the layover, the walk home in the rain.

Every piece starts as a full hide, not a spec sheet. A pattern cutter marks around the imperfections instead of around them, which is why no two Field Totes are ever quite identical. We'd rather make fewer bags and stand behind every one.

Made by hand

Every bag passes through six pairs of hands before it ships — a cutter, a skiver, two stitchers, a hardware setter, and a finisher who checks the seams against the light.

Hands cutting leather with a craft knife
Cutting around the hide's natural marks, not against them.
Leatherworking tools arranged on a cutting board
Tools sharpened weekly, some of them older than the workshop.
Thread, scissors, and hardware laid out for stitching
